In October, 48 percent of Independent’s supported impeaching Trump, with 39 percent in opposition. Now, the tides have turned. 49 percent of Independents oppose impeachment, while only 34 percent support it. That’s a 15-point margin in opposition of impeachment among Independent voters.And this news can only help Trump's chances for re-election.
According to the most recent data, the narrative that impeachment is a partisan witch hunt is the one more Independent and key swing voters believe.
Not only does this data show Democrats are losing Independents in the impeachment hearings, but Emerson’s poll also finds Trump’s national approval has increased from October to November.
“Trump’s approval has increased in the last month with 48% approval and 47% disapproval, a bounce from 43% approval in the last Emerson National poll in October,” the poll reads.

In the questioning of former Ukraine Ambassador Yovanovitch, she asked the ex-ambassador whether it was accurate that “defensive lethal aid” that she had pushed for was provided to Ukraine not by the Obama administration, but by the Trump administration.
“That’s correct,” Yovanovitch responded.
Stefanik, who has also received sexist backlash from liberals for her performance, also got Yovanovitch to admit that the Obama administration prepped her for Hunter Biden:
But Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) hammered home the point that the Obama administration was concerned enough over Hunter Biden’s Ukraine job that staffers prepared Yovanovitch to answer them for the confirmation hearing.
“The exact quote from your testimony, Ambassador, is, quote, ‘the way the question was phrased in this model Q&A was, what can you tell us about Hunter Biden’s, you know, being named to the board of Burisma?’” Stefanik said.
“So for the millions of Americans watching, President Obama’s own State Department was so concerned about potential conflicts of interest from Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma that they raised it themselves while prepping this wonderful ambassador nominee before her confirmation.
“And yet our Democratic colleagues and the chairman of this committee cry foul when we dare ask that same question the Obama administration was so concerned about. But we will continue asking it.”
