Vatican Confirms That Pope Francis Did Meet Privately with Kim Davis

NYTimes.com:
Pope Francis met privately in Washington last week with Kim Davis, the county clerk in Kentucky who defied a court order to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, a Vatican spokesman confirmed on Wednesday.

Ms. Davis, the clerk in Rowan County, has been at the center of a nationwide controversy over whether government employees and private businesses have a legal right to refuse to serve same-sex couples. She spent five days in jail for disobeying a federal court order to issue the licenses.

On Tuesday night, her lawyer, Mathew D. Staver, said in a telephone interview that Ms. Davis and her husband, Joe, were sneaked into the Vatican Embassy by car on Thursday afternoon. Francis gave her rosaries and told her to “stay strong,” the lawyer said. The couple met for about 15 minutes with the pope, who was accompanied by security guards, aides and photographers. Mr. Staver said he expected to receive photographs of the meeting from the Vatican soon.
On Wednesday, the Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, confirmed that the meeting took place, but he declined to elaborate. “I do not deny that the meeting took place, but I have no other comments to add,” he said.

Ms. Davis described the meeting in an interview on Wednesday with ABC News.

“I put my hand out and he reached and he grabbed it, and I hugged him and he hugged me,” Ms. Davis said. “And he said, ‘Thank you for your courage.’ ”

“I was crying. I had tears coming out of my eyes,” she said. “I’m just a nobody, so it was really humbling to think he would want to meet or know me.”
Good for Kim Davis, the Rosa Parks of our generation and too bad for Godless liberals who've tried to stamp this Pope as some sort of 'progressive theologian' who's shown a willingness to compromise the Catholic doctrine for their morally bankrupt agenda.

Gay Child Actor Danny Pintauro: I'm HIV-Positive

USAToday.com:
Since 2003 actor Danny Pintauro, who many know from his days on the 80s sitcom Who's the Boss?, has been keeping a secret. But on Saturday's episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now? he revealed to the world that he is HIV-Positive.

"I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, but I wasn't ready. I'm ready now," Pintauro told Oprah Winfrey in an intense interview on the show. "I'm HIV-positive, and I have been for 12 years."

Why did he keep it to himself for so long? "It's just a big deal, you know?" he said. "It's not something that people are really talking about right now."

This is not the first time Pintauro's private life has been in the spotlight -- the actor was outed as gay in a 1997 National Enquirer article, against his wishes. "I was outed," Pintauro recalled to Winfrey. "It wasn't by choice.

He went on to explain how he was originally diagnosed with HIV back in 2003. "I was living in New York at the time and completely clueless to the idea that I was positive," he said. "I went in for a regular checkup. It was just regular blood work. You go in, and you sort of waited two weeks on pins and needles -- or at least I did, because I was just terrified of the idea of getting HIV."

He also talked about the fact that he was using crystal meth at the time of the diagnosis.
"I was doing crystal meth, which completely ruins your immune system. I'd been doing it at that point very briefly, but it was three weeks or so, off and on. I had just come out of a two-year relationship, and I discovered in that relationship that there was more I wanted to explore sexually. Crystal meth takes away your inhibitions... And if you want to explore that adventurous side, taking the drug is going to put you there. I was experimenting. And believe it or not, I thought that I was being safe in that encounter. I know exactly when it happened."
The actor did not go into further details, but he did say he regrets not knowing the name of the man from that encounter. "I regret not knowing that, because that person has completely changed my life," he says.
Oprah Winfrey and the rest of the Godless liberal media won't talk about it, but it's well-known that most gay men are not only highly promiscuous, but have no problem engaging in high-risk sexual behavior that often leads to them catching HIV and/or AIDS. But telling gay men to seek monogamous relationships or better yet, be abstinent and refrain from sex altogether is considered homophobic to the Left and can get you blackballed from practicing your livelihood (just ask former Millionaire Matchmaker host Patti Stanger who eventually got kicked to the curb for telling the truth about the gay community). The fact that Pintauro admits that he used crystal meth to "explore sexually" tells you what kind of reckless behavior he was up to at a young age. If he had chosen God and Christianity instead of the dangerous and oft-depressing lifestyle choice of homosexuality, having HIV would be the last thing on his mind.

Christian School Rightfully Kicks 5-Year-Old Kindergartner Out For Having Lesbian Mothers

Bossip.com:
A precious 5-year-old San Diego kindergartner has been booted from her classes because her school, the Mount Erie Christian Academy, refuses to welcome her any longer because she has lesbian parents.

Via The Root:
“It was heartbreaking,” one of the mothers, Sheena, who didn’t want her last name disclosed, told the news station. “I didn’t finish the conversation with them when they took us in the room because I just, I didn’t want to look at them any longer. I just couldn’t believe that they did that.”
“They told us, ‘Oh, this is not about your child,’ but it is about my child,” the stay-at-home mom added.
The mothers are seeking an attorney to file a civil rights lawsuit against the school. When asked by the news team if it was discriminatory to stop the child from attending because of her mothers, a woman who described herself as the school’s director said, “The Bible says homosexuality is a sin. We don’t condone any sinful lifestyles.”
KGTV got a copy of the school’s parent-and-student handbook, which was revised over the summer. Under the school’s statement of nondiscrimination, the handbook declared the school’s right to “refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student.”
“This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, living in, condoning or supporting sexual immorality; practicing homosexual lifestyle or alternative gender identity; promoting such practices; or otherwise having the inability to support the moral principles of the school,” the handbook continued, according to the news station.
“If we knew from the beginning that this was unacceptable, they didn’t condone or believe in this, if it was such a big deal, we would have never started her off there,” Sheena countered. “I would never put my child’s emotional well-being in an unstable setting like that.”
Mount Erie, as a private institution, does have a First Amendment right to bar membership based on religious beliefs, San Diego attorney Eugene Iredale pointed out to the news station. However, Sheena says that the family is prepared to fight their case.
Of course, since two women can't create a child, the first question everyone should be asking is: where's the father? But in Barack Obama's Godless world, where kids have no say and parents are defined by what a liberal judge thinks instead of a mother and a father, stuff like who's the daddy? doesn't matter. That being said, what right do these two Satan-worshippers (anyone who rebukes God and chooses to live a homosexual lifestyle clearly doesn't believe in God) have to tell a private Christian school who can and can't attend their school? Damn right, this school did the right thing in kicking that girl out.

Congressional Black Caucus Members Praise Planned Parenthood on the Hill

Townhall.com:
At a tragically ironic press conference Monday afternoon on Capitol Hill, the Congressional Black Caucus praised the work of Planned Parenthood. Joined by former Planned Parenthood patients, Reps. Gwen Moore (D-WI), Alma Adams (D-NC) and Donna Edwards (D-MD) defended the organization as vital to women's health. Not of interest during their conversation, was the fact that Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger was a racist, nor the Center for Medical Progress investigation that has shocked Americans with its disturbing footage of employees joking about the sale of fetal body parts.

Nope, these concerns were of no consequence. Rep. Adams seemed quite positive that the GOP attempt to defund Planned Parenthood was based off of a misogynistic agenda.

As for the Planned Parenthood patients who were present, they shared stories about how the organization provided important breast cancer screenings and prenatal care. Again, the fact that the organization performs over 300,000 abortions annually and abortion is the source of 37 percent of its revenue was not even a footnote.

Surely, the same services these women sought can be accessed at the thousands of health centers across the country that do not perform abortions. Pro-life Republicans are leading the charge to defund Planned Parenthood and reallocate those tax dollars to these alternative, more humane, resources available to women.

You wouldn't know that if you attended today's presser. All these congressmen want to do, Rep. Adams declared, was to "make decisions" for women.

Pope Francis: Goverment Workers Have ‘Human Right’ to Refuse Gay Marriage Licenses

Mediaite.com:
In an interview with a gaggle of reporters, Pope Francis said government workers should have the right to refuse to issue gay marriage licenses if it was against their conscience.

“Conscientious objection must enter into every judicial structure because it is a right,” he said in Rome when asked about government employees like Kentucky clerk Kim Davis.

“I can’t have in mind all cases that can exist about conscientious objection, but yes, I can say that conscientious objection is a right that is a part of every human right,” he continued. “And if someone does not allow others to be a conscientious objector, he denies a right.”

Poll: One In Four Democrats Have Joe Biden As Their First Choice For President

Townhall.com:
This week, Politico reported that Team Clinton is quietly urging the vice president not to run. The big guns haven’t been drawn yet, but the news publication noted that the mantra for the Clinton camp on Biden is “so sure, take your time, is the message people in and around the campaign seem to be sending—but if you end up at yes, you’re going to get hurt.”
The hints from the campaign come in heavy: Biden would be to Clinton’s right if he ran, more out of touch with the party’s progressive base. Surrogates have sounded off, questioning his chances and his political abilities, wondering if he’d be up to the job. Clinton even leapt in herself, bringing him up out of nowhere as she spoke to a woman in a diner last week in New Hampshire to knock him for how disappointing he’d been when they were working on the bankruptcy bill in the Senate. That was followed by her campaign chair John Podesta, sprinkling a little of his own shade in front of the pro-Clinton Priorities super PAC in New York—it’s already too late for Biden to mount a real challenge, and he’s not going to decide for a few more weeks on top of that.
They’ve stepped up the roll-out of their endorsements and organization. Their operation is just so massive and well put together, they want Biden and anyone considering supporting him to think, there’s just no space left for him.
[…]
Inside the Brooklyn headquarters, this has become a sensitive topic.
“Because of the personal tragedy and because he is beloved by the president and because he is beloved by so many staffers on both sides, they are super sensitive to doing anything that even whiffs of attacking him,” said a source close to the Clinton campaign.
To Biden and the people he’s talking to most about running, this is proof, they think, of just how much of a scare they’ve put into Clinton. On top of what’s public, they say they think the spate of stories a few weeks ago digging into his record on bankruptcy and the Crime Bill came, if not straight from the headquarters in Brooklyn, from people just far enough removed to give them plausible deniability.
“This is not a surprise,” said one person familiar with Biden’s thinking. “I think it’s pretty clear that they’re concerned about it.”
The Hill  reported last week that Clinton used Biden to as a shield to explain her vote for a bankruptcy bill that liberals opposed in 2001, saying his support partially influenced her “aye” vote in the Senate. And, of course, Politico added that Team Clinton has no anti-Biden strategy formulated, nor have any of their past actions been utilized to dissuade the vice president from running. This was all planned in the beginning.

John Boehner Resigns From Congress

CNN.com:
John Boehner, the Ohio Republican who steered his party to an overwhelming House majority in 2010, said in a news conference Friday afternoon he had decided only that morning to announce his plans to resign from Congress.

"Last night I started thinking about this and this morning I woke up and I said my prayers -- as I always do -- and I decided today's the day I'm going to do this. As simple as that," Boehner said during an emotional Capitol Hill press conference a day after he had a moving encounter with Pope Francis.

He will step down as Speaker and leave Congress at the end of October.

The Ohio Republican's tenure as Speaker has been marked by clashes with conservatives -- especially when it comes to fiscal policy. He's struggled to push through legislation to increase the debt ceiling and was facing another showdown next week to keep the government open. The Speaker has often relied on Democratic votes during these moments -- a strategy that has infuriated conservatives.

Boehner, who turns 65 in November, said Friday that he had planned to step down at the end of the year but turmoil within his caucus prompted him to resign earlier than planned.

"I got plenty of people following me but this turmoil that's been churning now for a couple of months, it's not good for the members and it's not good for the institution. If I was not planning on leaving here soon, I can tell you I would not have done it," Boehner said.
Judging from this reaction, I don't think too many conservatives will be missing him.

Hillary Clinton Sits Down For Interview with Admitted Pedophile and Soft Porn Actress Len Dunham

Mediaite.com:
The notoriously interview-shy Hillary Clinton has agreed to a sit-down interview with Peabody and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Lena Dunham.

Dunham, who is best known for breaking the stories of the My Lai Massacre and the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, is also the star of HBO’s Girls. Dunham is considered a tough-but-fair, nonpartisan interviewer who has also interviewed Boutros Boutros-Ghali and Henry Kissinger.

In a preview released by Politico Thursday, Dunham asks Clinton a particularly probing question: “Do you consider yourself a feminist?”

“Yes,” Clinton responds while sweating buckets, clearly horrified to have to answer the question. “Absolutely.”

One issue that Hillary Clinton and Dunham are sure to agree on, however, is  that you should always believe people who claim to have been sexual assaulted.
The media can barely get her to speak, but she has time to talk to perverted scum like this.

Democrat National Committee Tries To Portray Marco Rubio As A Nazi

FreeBeacon.com:
The Democratic National Committee, in what critics say is one of the lamest attacks of the 2016 cycle so far, has pounced on Republican Marco Rubio’s plans to attend a fundraiser at the house of Harlan Crow because Crow’s collection of historic artifacts includes Nazi art—but the DNC failed to mention that Crow’s mother was nearly killed by the Nazis during World War II.

“It is astounding that the presence of these items that represent horror for millions of Jews the world over, would not stop Mr. Rubio or anyone on his team in their tracks when planning this event,” DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said on Tuesday.

The DNC’s statement points to Crow’s ownership of “two paintings by Adolph Hitler, a signed copy of Hitler’s autobiography, Mein Kampf, and a cabinet full of place settings and linens used by the Nazi leader.”

Unmentioned, however, is that Crow is far from a Hitler admirer, and that these items are a small part of Crow’s massive collection of historical artifacts. At times, that collection has included items such as Frederick Douglass’ Bible, the doodles of President Abraham Lincoln, President George Washington’s 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation, and statues of communist icons such as Lenin and Che Guevara.

Making the notion that Crow has any ties to Hitler even more absurd is the fact that his mother, Margaret Crow, was nearly killed by the Nazis.

She survived the sinking of the British SS Athenia, which was the first British ship attacked by the Nazi U-boats. Crow owns multiple artifacts from the SS Athenia, as well.

Schultz asked that Rubio cancel the fundraiser.

“There’s really no excuse for such a gross act of disrespect. Mr. Rubio, who by the way, represents a sizable Jewish population in our home state of Florida, should cancel this tasteless fundraiser,” said Schultz.
I'd never underestimate the lengths Debbie Wasserman Schultz will go to to make sure fellow old, corrupt and liberal white woman Hillary Clinton, is our next President. Now if only somebody could buy Schultz a blow dryer.

AP to Stop Referring to Climate Change Doubters as ‘Skeptics,’ ‘Deniers’

Mediaite.com:
The Associated Press made quite a notable change today in how it refers to individuals with skeptical views about climate change science.

The AP announced the change on its blog today, explaining the changes:
Our guidance is to use climate change doubters or those who reject mainstream climate science and to avoid the use of skeptics or deniers.
Some background on the change: Scientists who consider themselves real skeptics – who debunk mysticism, ESP and other pseudoscience, such as those who are part of the Center for Skeptical Inquiry – complain that non-scientists who reject mainstream climate science have usurped the phrase skeptic. They say they aren’t skeptics because “proper skepticism promotes scientific inquiry, critical investigation and the use of reason in examining controversial and extraordinary claims.” That group prefers the phrase “climate change deniers” for those who reject accepted global warming data and theory. But those who reject climate science say the phrase denier has the pejorative ring of Holocaust denier so The Associated Press prefers climate change doubter or someone who rejects mainstream science.
How news outlets decide to frame such things can have a big impact on how they’re presented to the public, though things like this change have been controversial in the past, like when the AP decided to drop the use of “illegal immigrant” two years ago.
Of course, it's just a mere coincidence that the AP makes this change not too long after Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina, the two leaders in the GOP Presidential polls, both announced that they too don't believe in the outright lie that is global warming aka climate change.

New Book Claims Hillary Clinton Has Mounting Health Issues

NYPost.com:
Hillary Clinton faces “mounting health issues” — and she’s secretly worried that she’s too sick to run for president, according to a new book.

The 67-year-old Democratic front-runner has been “frequently plagued” by “blinding headaches” and a series of strokes over the course of the campaign which have left her second-guessing her chances of winning in 2016, says the upcoming book “Unlikeable — The Problem with Hillary.”

Excerpts were published Tuesday by Radar Online.

“For the first time I’ve known her, she’s showing self-doubt about her strength and vitality,” a friend of Clinton’s told author Edward Klein, who has written about the Obamas and Kennedys in the past.

The presidential candidate has also been battling bouts of insomnia that have ultimately “worried her, because it sapped her energy just when she needed it most for the campaign,” Klein writes.

“She is exhausted and depressed a lot of the time,” a friend is quoted as saying, adding that Clinton even tried taking sleeping pills to combat the problem, but to no avail.

“She said they made her less sharp the next day,” the friend explained.

In late 2012, Clinton suffered from a life-threatening blood clot on her brain that left her “constantly worried” she would develop another one, according to Klein.

Clinton has insisted she’s in good health and released a letter from her doctor over the summer attesting to her fitness.

John Kerry: U.S. to Accept 85,000 Refugees in 2016, 100,000 in 2017

NBCNews.com:
The U.S. is offering new details about its plan to ease the Syrian refugee crisis by significantly increasing the number of worldwide refugees it will take in over the next two years.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says the U.S. will accept 85,000 refugees from around the world next year, up from 70,000, and the number will rise to 100,000 in 2017.

Aides to Kerry say that many, though not all, of the additional refugees would be Syrian.

The migrants would be referred by the United Nations, screened by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and resettled around America.

Kerry made the announcement Sunday during a visit to Berlin after meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss the mass migration of Syrians fleeing their civil war.

Kerry's announcement came amid a growing call for the U.S. to do more to relief the escalating crisis.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton said Sunday on CBS News' "Face the Nation" that as many as 65,000 Syrian refugees should be taken in.

Scott Walker Drops Out of Presidential Race

Mediaite.com:
According to multiple media reports, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will drop out of the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

The sudden announcement is expected to be made official during a 6 PM EST speech in Madison, Wisconsin. The decision comes after Walker plummeted from the top of the polls to less than one half of one percent in the most recent CNN poll.

Walker is the second Republican to drop out of the race after former Texas Governor Rick Perry dropped out of the race earlier this month.
Call me shocked too that he'd quit so soon. But then for all his major wins battling the Left and Big Labor in Wisconsin, on the national scale, simply put, he was an utter fail.

Carly Fiorina Rockets to No. 2 Behind Donald Trump in GOP Field

CNN.com:
Carly Fiorina shot into second place in the Republican presidential field on the heels of another strong debate performance, and Donald Trump has lost some support, a new national CNN/ORC poll shows

The survey, conducted in the three days after 23 million people tuned in to Wednesday night's GOP debate on CNN, shows that Trump is still the party's front-runner with 24% support. That, though, is an 8 percentage point decrease from earlier in the month when a similar poll had him at 32%.

Fiorina ranks second with 15% support -- up from 3% in early September. She's just ahead of Ben Carson's 14%, though Carson's support has also declined from 19% in the previous poll.

Driving Trump's drop and Fiorina's rise: a debate in which 31% of Republicans who watched said Trump was the loser, and 52% identified Fiorina as the winner.
I've always liked Fiorina and the more Trump fails to provide specifics on important issues to Americans, the better for Fiorina who always sounds like she knows what she's talking about (esp. on foreign policy) even if you don't agree with her.

1st Gay President Barck Obama Invites Homosexual Guests To Pope Francis Visit

Mediaite.com:
Catholic League president Bill Donohue ripped into President Obama this morning for inviting LGBT guests to Pope Francis‘s ceremony when he arrives in the nation’s capital.

The White House announced it would be inviting an openly gay priest, a transgender activist, and a nun with a reputation for clashing with the Catholic Church. The Vatican has, needless to say, not been very happy about the guest list.

Donohue told CNN’s Michael Smerconish this morning Obama is showing “contempt for Catholics.” He argued that if a visiting Jewish or Muslim leader came to D.C., the White House wouldn’t bring in anyone who isn’t “respectful” of their positions.

Smerconish asked if this very inclusive pope would care, since he’s indicated a welcoming view of all people. Donohue insisted that photo ops could be “exploited” by people looking to claim the pope suddenly sanctions what they have normally been steadfastly opposed to.

Donohue also described His Holiness as a mix between Mike Huckabee and Bernie Sanders.
No surprise here, teh gheys are the community this proudly non-Christian POTUS most serves.

Federal Court Rules Against Obamacare's Birth Control Mandate

Townhall.com:
Now more than ever it looks likely that the Supreme Court will take up Obamacare’s birth control mandate after a federal appeals court on Thursday ruled against it, directly contradicting an earlier federal court ruling on the issue.

The Hill reports:
The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that four Christian nonprofits should not have to comply with the ObamaCare rule that all employer healthcare plans include contraception options or face a fee. While employers can seek exemptions to the law, the court argued that doing so poses a “substantial burden” on that organization’s religious rights. […]
The ruling includes 30 references to Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, the 2014 Supreme Court case that allowed certain for-profit companies to opt out of the mandate. Since that decision, multiple nonprofits, including universities, have taken legal action demanding to be granted the same permissions.
Under ObamaCare, employer healthcare plans are required to cover all federally approved forms of birth control. That includes, as the court notes, emergency contraception that some religious organizations believe is “functionally equivalent to abortion on demand.”
Groups can receive an exemption by writing a letter to the Health and Human Services Department or filling out a two-page form to document their objections. Houses of worships are automatically exempt from the law.
A White House spokeswoman on Thursday said the administration is "disappointed" in the decision, but believes the mandate will ultimately be upheld.
“With [Thursday’s] decisions, the [Supreme] Court will have great reason to decide this issue in the next term,” the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty said in a statement.

Joy Behar & 'The View' Under Fire for Mocking Miss Colorado’s Nurse Outfit

Mediaite.com:
ABC’s The View has received harsh criticism from nurses after the hosts mocked a Miss America contestant who dressed up in scrubs as part of the talent section.

Nurses on Twitter created the hashtag #NursesUnite after host Joy Behar mocked Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson’s for reading a monologue about her experiences tending to Alzheimer’s patients. “Why does she have a doctor’s stethoscope on?” she asked during Monday’s show.

“She came in in a nurse’s uniform, and basically read her emails out loud,” complained co-host Michelle Collins as everyone laughed. “And shockingly did not win.”

But after a Twitter firestorm, The View hosts segued during a Wednesday segment on political correctness to sort-of, kind-of, not-really apologize. Collins insisted that they had been “taken out of context” by their critics, and that everyone on the show had the utmost respect for nurses.

“Did they hear the conversation?” agreed host Raven-Symone, “Did they know what you were talking about at all?”

Behar admitted she wasn’t paying attention during the segment. “I was looking at a Miss America tape and there’s a woman wearing like an outfit, and I’m thinking, ‘Is she in costume?’ I didn’t know she was a nurse.”

“It is not like I was trying to be funny,” she said before finally admitting, “It was stupid and inattentive on my part.”
It's funny when idiot far-Left pundits like Joy Behar get bitten in the ass by the same PC Police they profess to love so much.

Ellen Degeneres, Queen Of All Gays, MAKES Bruce aka 'Caitlyn' Jenner Apologize For Once Supporting Tradional Marriage

Jezebel.com:
Earlier this month, Caitlyn Jenner made headlines after sharing her thoughts regarding same-sex marriage on Ellen. “I kind of like tradition, and it’s always been a man and a woman,” she said. “I’m thinking, ‘I don’t quite get it.’”

In a blog post published Monday, Jenner changed her tune. She wrote:
I want to help each of you understand something that I only recently embraced: Being different is okay – in fact, it’s great! But I also understand it takes some getting used to. Like many people, there was a time when I didn’t realize how important it is for gay couples to have the right to get married. But after hearing from my gay friends and learning more about the hardships they faced because of discrimination, it became clear to me that everyone should be able to marry the person they love.
There’s something sort of nice about this entire turn of events, isn’t there? We haven’t just seen Caitlyn learn more about herself over these past few months - we’ve seen her learn more about entire groups of marginalized people. Groups of people she—as a wealthy, “traditionalist,” white Republican—may not have thought about much even one year ago.
You knew an apology was coming, it was only a matter of when. After all, once you upset the Gay Mafia and they get word back to the Queen, all bets are off.

Only 21% of Americans Support Barack Obama's Iran Deal

HotAir.com:
Polling on Barack Obama’s deal with Iran has had one consistent quality: the more people see of the Iran deal, the less they like it. The latest Pew Research poll shows a new quality, which is the more people see of the deal, the less they know about it. Oddly, despite the deal being at the top of the news for the last two months, those who claim to have heard nothing at all about it has jumped from 21% in July to 30% in their latest poll. The news of the deal does not seem to be registering well among Americans despite the big political fight it has created on Capitol Hill.

Overall support continues to fall, regardless of the informed status of the respondents. In July, only 33% approved of the deal, but a third of those have backed away in the two months since:
In mid-July, a week after President Obama announced the deal, 33% of the public approved of the agreement, while 45% disapproved and 22% had no opinion. Over the past six weeks, the share approving of the agreement has fallen 12 percentage points (from 33% to 21%), while disapproval has held fairly steady (45% then, 49% now). Somewhat more express no opinion than did so in July (22% then, 30% now).
Support has fallen in all political demographics, even among Democrats. Two months ago, Democrats supported the deal, 50/27, but now only a plurality of Obama’s party supports it, 42/29. Republican opposition has jumped nine points, from 13/69 to 6/78, while independent support has dropped 11 points, 31/47 to 20/47. Most of the movement has gone from support to undecided, but some of it has moved into the No column — almost all of it Republicans, though.

Among other demos, the most dramatic drop in support has been among women — from 29% in July to just 16% now. Support has plunged among all educational demos, including college graduates, who once supported the deal 44/37. Now it’s 35/40 against. Those with some college went from 30/46 to 18/54, and high-school graduates from 27/50 to 14/51. It’s a cascade of collapse in support across the board.
People who support this deal must've forgotten that 9/11 even happened.

Dumb White Liberal Comedian Sarah Silverman: Comedians Should ‘Change with the Times’ for PC College Students

Mediaiite.com:
Jerry Seinfeld set off a bit of a firestorm earlier this year when he said he had stopped performing comedy at colleges because the students were generally too “politically correct.” It is a message that has been echoed by everyone from Chris Rock and Jay Leno to Bill Maher and Colin Quinn. But comedian Sarah Silverman has a different view.

Speaking to Vanity Fair from the Toronto Film Festival this week, where she is promoting her new film I Smile Back, Silverman said she didn’t agree with everything her fellow comedians have said on the issue.

“To a degree, everyone’s going to be offended by something, so you can’t just decide on your material based on not offending anyone,” she conceded. “But, I do think it’s important, as a comedian, as a human, to change with the times.” Silverman added, “I think it’s a sign of being old if you’re put off by that.”

As an example, she cited her use of the word “gay” — as in, “That’s so gay.” Silverman once defended her use of the word as a stand-in for “lame,” but then she stopped herself and realized, “I have become the guy from 50 years ago who said, ‘I say colored, I have colored friends.'”

“It’s not hard to change with the times, and I think it’s important,” she continued. “And when you have new information and when you become more aware of the world around you, you can change.”

“You have to listen to the college-aged, because they lead the revolution,” Silverman added. “They’re pretty much always on the right side of history.”
Of course, as a racist and arrogant white, liberal she has to bring race up when making her argument.

Democrat Congressman Jared Polis Says Innocent Men Accused Of Rape Should Be Expelled From Colleges

Mediaite.com:
During a House Education and Workforce Committee hearing, Democratic Congressman Jared Polis said that even if a whopping 80% of accused campus rapists are innocent, it was still better to kick them all out of school.

“I mean, we’re talking about a private institution,” he said. “If I was running one, I might say, ‘Well you know even if there’s a 20-30% chance that this happened, I would want to remove this individual.”

Freedom for Individual Rights in Education policy director Joseph Cohn responded by telling Polis that the sort of standard he was discussing would be highly unlikely to pass the due process requirements that public universities must legally abide by.

“It seems like we ought to provide more of a legal framework then that allows a reasonable likelihood standard or preponderance of evidence standard,” the Colorado Democrat responded. “If there’s ten people who have been accused, and under a reasonable likelihood standard maybe one or two did it, it seems better to get rid of all ten people.”

“We’re not talking about depriving them of life and liberty,” he laughed. “We’re talking about them transferred to another university.” That line earned him a smatter of applause.

“Let’s be clear about this,” Cohn said angrily. “That is not what we’re talking about.” But Polis cut him off and began questioning another witness.

Sore Loser George Pataki Says He Won’t Vote for Trump If He’s the Republican Nominee

Mediaite.com:
Remember when Donald Trump going third party was still being taken as a serious concern? Trump didn’t exactly work hard to put that to rest, being the sole candidate to raise his hand at the last debate when everyone was asked if they would stay loyal to the GOP.

Part of that included a willingness to support the eventual nominee, something that the GOP attempted to also tackle with a loyalty pledge. Trump signed it, but it would appear that George Pataki isn’t entirely on board, if the following declaration this morning is any indication:

George E. Pataki @GovernorPataki
Let me be very plain, I'm not going to vote for @RealDonaldTrump ...He is unfit to be president @chucktodd @meetthepress

Yes, Pataki is making it clear he’s not voting for Trump if he ends up being the Republican nominee.

He elaborated:

George E. Pataki @GovernorPataki
I'll keep my dignity and the principles that the GOP was founded upon. https://twitter.com/ewerickson/status/643048675829153792

And here’s the part you knew was coming:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Why is someone like George Pataki, who did a terrible job as Governor of N.Y. and registers ZERO in the polls, allowed on the debate stage?

Teen Boy Kissed Girl on a Dare. Now He Faces Assault Charges

WJLA.com:
Baltimore County Police and Baltimore County school officials responded to a report of assault involving two eighth-grade students at Pikesville Middle School on Wednesday.

School officials took a report regarding a 13-year-old boy who kissed a 14-year-old girl during school hours. The unwanted kiss was allegedly the result of a dare made by students.

Police confirm that the boy is now facing a second-degree assault charge as a juvenile. No one was injured during the incident, police say, and disciplinary actions related to suspension or expulsion will be handled by the school system.
Only in Obama's America.

Idiot Savant Rick Perry Drops Out Of Presidential Race

CNN.com:
Rick Perry, the former Texas governor who insisted he learned lessons from his disastrous 2012 presidential campaign, dropped his second bid for the White House on Friday after just 100 days.

"Today, I am suspending my campaign for the presidency of the United States," Perry said in an address in St. Louis that virtually mirrored his standard stump speech until the very end. "Life is good. I am a blessed man."

The departure of Perry, who had little support in early-voting states or among the GOP donor class, is unlikely to alter the contours of the Republican race. But Perry nevertheless implored his supporters in an email to back a candidate who embodies the principles of conservatism.

"The conservative movement has always been about principles, not personalities," Perry said, before making a not-too-veiled swipe at Donald Trump, the GOP's current front-runner. "Our nominee should embody those principles. He -- or she -- must make the case for the cause of conservatism more than the cause of their own celebrity."

For almost two years, the swaggering Texan had prepared and studied for a second shot at the presidency. But in a 17-candidate field, Perry found himself weakened by fundraisers who ditched him for his rivals and by top surrogates who defected as his campaign crumbled. He raised only about $1 million in the first fundraising quarter, and he never had enough supporters for him to earn a spot in the premier GOP debates. Back in Texas, he remained under indictment on an abuse-of-power charge.

And as it became increasingly clear that the campaign wouldn't be able to overcome deep financial problems that left him without enough money to win a competitive race, he became the first GOP candidate to leave it.
Even with the glasses on this guy was still an idiot.

Bruce aka 'Caitlyn' Jenner Upsets Queen Of All Gays Ellen DeGeneres with Talk of Once Believing in 'Traditional Marriage'

Mediaite.com:
In an interview for The Ellen DeGeneres Show taped last week, Caitlyn Jenner admitted that long before her gender transition she had trouble with the idea of same-sex marriage. Even now, she calls herself a “traditionalist” who believes in marriage as an institution that exists between a man and a woman.

These statements clearly took host Ellen DeGeneres aback in the moment and she elaborated on her surprise during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show Tuesday. “She still has a judgement about gay marriage,” DeGeneres said of Jenner. “And I said, ‘You’re wanting people to understand and accept you — this is like, really confusing to people — and you still have a judgement about gay people and marriage.”

“It’s crazy,” Stern said. “Here’s a person on TV crying, ‘I want to be myself, I want to be genuine, I don’t want people to ridicule me’ and then says in the same breath, ‘Gee, gay marriage, I don’t get it.’ It’s remarkable!”

Asked by Stern if Jenner danced with her, as many of the talk show’s guests do, DeGeneres said no.

“Maybe she didn’t want to dance with me because I’m a lesbian,” she suggested. On Jenner’s self-described conservative politics, DeGeneres added, “I think a lot of Republicans are wishing she wasn’t Republican.”
Once Obama "evolved" on gay marriage, no one gets a pass anymore, even a 65-year-old former Olympic champion suffering from mental illness and going around dressing like a woman. The Queen Of All Gays Has Spoken.

Poltically Correct Liberals Cost 'Dear Fat People' Comedian Nicole Arbour Her Job

Zap2It.com:
Canadian comedian/actress Nicole Arbour is having a very interesting week. First, she posted the now-infamous YouTube video “Dear Fat People,” in which she attempted to use humor to convince fat people that they should lose weight — fellow vlogger Meghan Tonjes dubbed it “Fat Shaming.” A few days later, “Fat People” was taken down and Arbour claimed “censorship.”

Now, as “Fat People” crosses the vaunted 3 million views threshold, Arbour is being fired from a movie job because her director is outraged over the video he calls “cruel and lame.”

“[I’m making] a dance movie, so obviously we needed a choreographer. We met with a woman who not only did traditional dance choreography, but was a cheerleader as well. She was fun and nice and had a lot of energy,” explains director Pat Mills in a statement to Zap2it. “‘[Arbour told me she] had a YouTube channel and identified as a ‘YouTuber.’ She seemed like a perfect fit for the project. I shared the script with her. She said she dug it and was excited to come on board.”

“I was supposed to get together with her this week for what she called a ‘choreo party’ to watch my favorite dance scenes and talk ideas,” says Mills, the director of 2014’s “Guidance.” “And then a crazy thing happened on Saturday — I saw something on the Internet that made me never want to see her again.”

As it turns out, Arbour’s video runs contrary to many of the things Mills hopes to achieve with “Don’t Talk to Irene,” the film she was slated to work on when it begins filming next month.

“It’s a body-positive teen dance movie set in a retirement home,” Mills says of the plot. “It’s about a 16-year-old girl who dreams of being a cheerleader, but she is constantly bullied for being fat. She learns that she doesn’t have to change anything about herself to be awesome because she already is.”

According to the filmmaker, Arbour’s video really hit home. “I’m gay. I was bullied a lot as a kid,” he reasons. “I am no stranger to ridicule and loneliness.”
First of all, she's a freaking comedian and this brouhaha over nothing speaks directly to what Jerry Seinfeld was talking about regarding the creepiness of the politically correct these days. Secondly, some people need (and don't mind) a little brutal honesty here and there, this wasn't fat-shaming at all. But in Barack Obama's Godless, pro-gay, politically correct, gov't dependent, far-Left America where personal responsibility is discarded and shaming has become the new bully, being brutally honest can not only get you in trouble with the evil Left, it can hurt your your livelihood. Lastly, of course the guy that fired her is gay.

1st Gay President Barack Obama Makes It Easier For Men To Use Women's Bathrooms In Hospitals

HuffPo.com:
The Obama administration is making a major push for transgender rights by prohibiting health insurance companies and medical providers from discriminating against patients because of their gender identities.

Under a proposed regulation issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Thursday, transgender people would be entitled to equal treatment in health care and would gain the legal right to make civil rights claims against insurers, doctors, hospitals and others who deny them coverage or necessary care because they are transgender. That includes forbidding health insurers from categorically excluding treatments related to gender transitions.

Transgender people can face significant barriers to getting medical care, as insurers often won't cover treatments such as hormone therapy and mental health counseling, especially when this care is related to transitioning, and health care providers sometimes refuse care. According to a recent survey, more than 4 in 10 female-to-male transgender people reported discrimination in the health care system.

"Sadly, we have ample evidence that there continues to be a persistent problem with discrimination in the health care industry. We get thousands of complaints every year that challenge discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, sex and disability," Jocelyn Samuels, director of the Office for Civil Rights at the Department of Health and Human Services, said during a conference call with reporters Thursday.

Last month, the department announced that the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York had agreed to change its policies to ensure equal treatment of transgender patients after a woman complained the hospital forced her to share a room with a male patient.

The health care regulation is the latest in a series of actions President Barack Obama has taken to advance transgender rights, including tangible steps like making it easier for people to get new passports that reflect their gender identity and symbolic gestures like mentioning transgender people during his State of the Union address.

Michelle Obama Gets Criticism for Praising Beyoncé as a ‘Role Model’

Mediaite.com:
Friday was Beyoncé’s birthday, or #BeyDay, and Michelle Obama wished her happy birthday on twitter. That turned out to be more controversial than you might expect.

Here’s the First Lady’s tweet:

The First Lady @FLOTUS
Happy birthday to the one and only, Queen ! Thank you for being a role model for young girls around the world, @Beyonce. -mo

The objectionable part to many was the classification as a “role model.” As Mediaite has documented previously, Republican politicians and conservative pundits have been rather critical of the pop icon for being too sexual and, thus, not being a good role model for young girls.

And so, of course, the First Lady’s tweet got some not-so-positive reactions:

A writer for former Congressman Allen West‘s website posted about it and connected it to Planned Parenthood and terrorism:
Can we really be that surprised the Obamas encourage this type of role model? I mean they lit up the White House with the gay pride flag for gosh sake. We have an administration that allows federally funded agencies to sell baby parts for profit. Tag onto that giving gays the “right” to marry (a “right” the rest of us don’t have, by the way). Pin to that good ol’ race baiting. And let’s round it off by making the U.S. a sponsor of terrorism through our support of terrorism-supporting nations.
Obama said back in 2012 that “Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent.”

"Lesbian Sperm Crisis" Leads To More Incestual Relationships and Less Sperm Donors

TheDailyBeast.com:
Like most Canadian lesbians, Paula and Nicole sought out foreign semen when they wanted to have a child. They settled on a donor who looked like their favorite ’80s television star and, through some Internet sleuthing, found another local family on Facebook who had used the same donor. Then, when they were pregnant, they bumped into another queer couple at their prenatal class.

“[W]e were just talking and realized that we used the same sperm donor and…their friends were actually the other couple we connected to [on Facebook],” Paula said, in a recent study by feminist legal theorist Stu Marvel in the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law.

Now, Paula and Nicole—whose names Marvel changed for the study—know at least nine families in the province of Ontario who have used the same telegenic donor.

What are the odds? Not bad, it turns out. In her study, Marvel estimates in the study that children born through donor insemination in Canada could have anywhere from 100 to 615 half-siblings worldwide in an extreme case. In 2011, the National Post also reported that a single donor at ReproMed, Canada’s only national sperm bank, could potentially have up to 75 offspring in a city the size of Toronto.

Semen is one of the most abundant resources on the planet, with men producing an estimated 1,500 sperm cells every second. But in places like Canada and the U.K. where sperm donation is limited, family building is a unique logistical challenge, especially for lesbians.
The more sperm donors, the more half-siblings around the world who have no idea they're related. Which in turn ups the potential of more incestual sex and the huge risk factors that come with that. But to the Godless Left it's all about feelings, not facts. And who cares if more and more sperm donors are just finding it immoral or perhaps with new laws in some places stating that they can be taken to court for child support, they just decide that they don't wish to be in the sperm business anymore--it's the lesbian sperm crisis that you're supposed to be concerned about.

Oregon Judge Refuses To Do Gay Weddings

KGW.com:
A Marion County judge has refused to perform same-sex marriages and has asked his clerks to refer couples seeking same-sex marriages to other county judges.

Judge Vance Day, a circuit court judge and former chairman of the Oregon Republican Party, is now facing an ethics investigation over that decision, according to the judge’s spokesman.

Spokesman Patrick Korten said Day instructed his staff to tell couples that the judge will not perform same-sex marriages. The staffers were instructed to refer same-sex couples to other Marion County judges willing to issue them a marriage license.

Korten said Day took the action based on his “deeply-held religious beliefs.”

“It’s an exercise of his religious freedom rights under the First Amendment,” Korten said.

Day hasn’t performed any same-sex marriages since he joined the bench in 2011, but only stopped doing marriages of any kind this past spring. Judges in Marion County are not required to perform marriages, and Marion County’s website lists five active judges and one retired judge who are available for marriage ceremonies.

That decision led to an ethics investigation by the Oregon Commission on Judicial Fitness, Korten said.

Hugh Hewitt on Donald Trump: I Don’t Think It’s a Gotcha Question to Ask About the Forces Surrounding Israel

HotAir.com:
Equal time for a man dismissed this morning by a grumpy Trump as a “third-rate radio announcer” because he asked him about the differences between Hamas and Hezbollah. That wasn’t me running through a random checklist of names to see if I could trip him up, Hewitt tells CNN here. It was me trying to lead him into a discussion of the strategic threat facing American and Israeli interests. A man with presidential ambitions should be able to talk semi-intelligently about that in 2015, no?

Matt Welch wonders: Is there any reason to think that a deeper knowledge of foreign policy before becoming president leads to a better foreign policy as president?

I don’t think there’s a straight line between better knowledge as a candidate to having more success abroad once in office, but I doubt Hewitt would say so either. The questions he asked Trump were really proxies, I think, for testing how seriously he takes the threat from jihadis. As a general but certainly not firm rule, the more worried you are about Iran, ISIS, and expansionist Islamist groups, the deeper into the weeds you’re willing to go to learn who they are. (Interestingly, Rand Paul the most dovish candidate in the GOP field and a strident Trump critic otherwise, sided with Trump today in knocking Hewitt’s questions as gotchas.) That’s also why, I assume, Hewitt presses nearly every candidate he interviews about whether they’ve read “The Looming Tower,” Lawrence Wright’s book about the rise of Al Qaeda and 9/11. He’s probing their intellectual curiosity about jihadism, I take it, as a measure of how alert they are to the risk and how committed they’d be as president to defeating it. How’d Trump do on that metric?

The correct answer, I think, is “voters won’t care.” Like I said last night, how you view the sufficiency of Trump’s answer depends almost totally on how seriously you take Trump as a candidate to begin with. Here’s Josh Rogin, picking through the Hewitt interview to build a case that Trump not only doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he seems unconcerned about correcting that problem:
Trump also suggested he would, as president, dismantle the system of deterrence that currently underpins our strategy toward potential major adversaries. When asked by Hewitt what he would do if China sunk a Japanese ship, Trump said it was a secret. “You don’t want to let people know what you’re going to do with respect to certain things that happen. You don’t want the other side to know,” he said. “I don’t want people to know my thinking.”
That answer is Trump’s go-to response whenever he seems to get into trouble answering foreign policy questions. He has said he doesn’t want to telegraph his plan to defeat the Islamic State — which he nonetheless described as “very beautiful” — although at other times he has promised to surround its oil fields with American troops, or to bomb the fields and later send in Exxon to rebuild them…
More likely, the truth is that Trump has no defined worldview, does not understand how diplomacy or warfare works, and has no real plans to solve the world’s problems. Other Republican candidates similarly have little foreign policy experience, but at least they are trying to study up. When Chuck Todd of “Meet the Press” asked who he consults on foreign policy, Trump replied that he watches “the shows.”
Yes, cheer Trump-haters. He’s a doofus whose doofus fans are actually celebrating his doofus-ness!

Judge Orders Christian Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis to Jail for Refusing to Issue Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

Mediaite.com:
A federal judge in Kentucky has ordered Rowan County clerk Kim Davis to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses, including to same-sex couples.

Davis, who was found in contempt of court by U.S. District Judge David Bunning, has been the center of controversy recently for citing her religious beliefs in refusing issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples — or any couples, for that matter — after the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states.

David Moore and David Ermold, two Kentuckians who went viral in July for posting a video of Davis refusing to issue them a marriage license, have been denied a license four times. The Supreme Court on Monday denied Davis’ injunction request for an exemption to the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling. Davis, an elected official, was summoned to court on Tuesday.

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee praised Davis for “standing strong for religious liberty.” Appearing on CNN after Thursday’s news broke, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul echoed the former Arkansas governor.
Only in Obama's Godless America will you find Christians now being imprisoned for standing up for their faith. Remember, this all started when Obama refused to defend DOMA and it's guaranteed to continue if another Democrat is elected President in 2016. #KimDavis
