Here's a gorilla in his home, minding his own business while on display so humans can pay money to watch and stare at him like some spectacle every day until an irresponsible mother comes along with her idiot son, who decides that it'd be 'fun' to find some way to invade this gorilla's home...and now the poor gorilla is dead. Maria Elena Salinas, an anchor for Spanish language network Univision, gave the commencement address and received an honorary doctorate from California State University in Fullerton this past Sunday.
At one point, Ms. Salinas began addressing the graduates in Spanish. She had been encouraged to do so by the all-knowing university leadership in an effort to pander to the university’s 40% Latino student body. But the graduates, according to the OC Weekly, were in no mood for a bi-lingual lesson on their special day.
The Univision broadcaster began specifically congratulating Latino journalism graduates for what seemed like a large chunk of her speech. She then began speaking in Spanish … This left non-journalism grads and non-Latinos/non-Spanish speakers feeling excluded. Parents in the audience and even students in the ceremony began demanding Salinas switch to a more inclusive tone by shouting phrases such as, “What about us?!”
That’s right. In an attempt at inclusion, Salinas excluded the majority of graduates who don’t speak Spanish. And, of course, the students of Latino descent wouldn’t have been excluded by hearing the entire speech in English in the first place. Portland, Oregon School Board Bans Textbooks That Doubt Climate Change

The school board of Portland, Oregon passed a unanimous resolution to eliminate textbook that cast any doubt over the whether climate change is real, or that human activity is responsible for it, Fox News reported. Any materials that suggest otherwise have to be removed. The resolution says, “There is overwhelming consensus in the scientific community that the climate crisis is created by human beings.” It also calls for “curriculum and educational opportunities that address climate change and climate justice in all Portland Public Schools.”
Bill Bigelow, a former teacher who helped present the resolution, said, “A lot of the text materials are kind of thick with the language of doubt, and obviously the science says otherwise,” according to the Portland Tribune, adding that current textbooks use words like “might,” “may,” and “could,” when discussing climate change. Bigelow said he doesn’t want students to learn from material provided by the fossil fuel industry.
Not everyone in the state agrees with the new resolution. The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine has a petition saying:
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.Of course, the real problem is that thanks to the past 8 years of King Obama's reign, liberals have gotten so powerful that they've literally become fascists. Ben Carson has the ability to say everything he shouldn’t at exactly the wrong time.
Since the former neurosurgeon has taken up the role of working on Donald Trump’s vice presidential team, he has suggested that the candidate may pick a Democratic running mate, dropped she-who-must-not-be-named Sarah Palin as a potential pick and earlier generally questioned a number of the presumptive nominee’s habits from his Twitter use to lack of pragmatism.
So he was off the VP team in a hurry.
Last week, Armstrong Williams (his business manager and close confidant), told The Daily Beast that Carson left the team of his own volition. Carson had bigger and more important things to do, according to Williams, like preparing Trump for his meeting with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.
But three sources close to the Trump campaign said Carson didn’t leave on his own. He was pushed.
According to sources close to Trump’s campaign, Carson was demoted after Trump specifically wanted him to head up the VP selection team. He submitted names that he thought would be valuable picks and inevitably lost his top spot days later. Carson allegedly called Trump afterwards and was angry that the situation played out like this.
In the absence of a person to head up the operation, embattled campaign manager Corey Lewandowski stepped in and took over the spot, as first reported by The Washington Post. The Daily Beast has confirmed that Lewandowski is still in charge of the process.

Liberal Media Ignores Man Chokes 8-Year-Old Girl In Public Restroom

A West Town man is accused of choking an 8-year-old girl until she passed out inside a bathroom of a restaurant in the South Loop neighborhood last weekend.
The girl was inside Jason's Deli in the 1200 block of South Canal Street with her mother around 1:15 p.m. Saturday when the two became separated, according to police.
The girl went into the bathroom. At some point, Reese M. Hartstirn, 33, came into the bathroom and started choking the girl with his hands, causing her to become unconscious, according to the Chicago Police Department.
He then picked up the unconscious girl and carried her into a bathroom stall, closing the door so she couldn’t leave, according to the release. Hartstirn pushed the girl’s mother when she came into the stall to rescue her daughter, police said.
The girl was taken to Comer Children's Hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available, according to police.
People inside the deli held Hartstirn for police after they were alerted to what happened.Officers took him to the First District police station, according to the release. While there, Hartstirn became aggressive and swung his fist at an officer, according to police.
Hartstirn, of the 500 block of North Racine Avenue, was charged with a felony count of aggravated kidnapping and a felony count of aggravated battery to a child under 13, according to the release.
The liberal media always ignores stuff like facts and anything else that doesn't fit their Godless agenda.

Illegal Immigrants Get More Welfare Than American’s Per Household Under Barack Obama

Illegal immigrant households receive an average of $5,692 in federal welfare benefits every year, far more than the average "native" American household, at $4,431, according to a new report on the cost of immigration released Monday.
The Center for Immigration Studies, in an analysis of federal cost figures, found that all immigrant-headed households — legal and illegal — receive an average of $6,241 in welfare, 41 percent more than native households. As with Americans receiving benefits such as food stamps and cash, much of the welfare to immigrants supplements their low wage jobs.
The total cost is over $103 billion in welfare benefits to households headed by immigrants. North Carolina will not meet the Obama administration's deadline to "remedy" its controversial HB2 law by Monday, the Raleigh News & Observer reported Thursday.
The U.S. Department of Justice informed the state on Wednesday that the anti-LGBT law is in violation of the Civil Rights Act and it must either repeal or cease enforcing the bill by next week or face penalties.
House Speaker Tim Moore, a Republican, told reporters, “That deadline will come and go. We don’t ever want to lose any money, but we’re not going to get bullied by the Obama administration to take action prior to Monday’s date. That’s not how this works.”

Ok—I’ll admit to it: I was wrong. I was wrong that Trump wouldn’t be the Republican nominee. With Cruz and Kasich knocked out of the race, Trump has a clear road to nab 1,237 delegates before the Republican Party heads into their nominating convention in July. So, I’m here to eat my words, but so do a lot of other people. Watch Mitt Romney, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bill Kristol, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Karl Rove, and others tout that Trump will never be the Republican nominee. It’s time to acknowledge our mistakes, folks. Moreover, the anti-Trump wing of the GOP never took the billionaire seriously. That turned out to be a fatal error.
We shouldn’t dwell too much on what could have been, as the GOP primary race is over. But if there is some truth to the notion that Trump could have been rendered irrelevant if attacked sooner by his Republican opponents, then the anti-Trump wing does bear some responsibility for failing to pull the trigger. Homicide Is The No. 1 Cause of Death for Blacks Between the Ages of 1 and 44

Medicare data suggest that in the western U.S., blacks and whites are now equally good at controlling chronic conditions like high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. We’ve made progress toward closing the racial gap for almost all causes of death, with one notable exception: homicide.
Homicide is the No. 1 cause of death for blacks between the ages of 1 and 44. Blacks make up 13% of the U.S. population, but they are half or more of all homicide victims. The high homicide rate lowers the life expectancy of black men by almost a full year. In other words, homicide accounts for almost a quarter of the remaining racial gap in men—more than cancer, and more than stroke and infant mortality combined.
What has shrunk the racial gap in life expectancy is mostly that black women are living longer, primarily because they have become better at managing chronic disease. Heart disease, cancer and stroke now claim fewer years from black Americans than they used to. But the victims of violence and homicide are still disproportionately black.
Few seem to realize that this is a major source of the racial health gap. The prevailing view—at least among researchers and advocates dedicated to closing racial disparities—is that narrowing gaps will require better diabetes management, cancer screening and the like. These are certainly important. But reducing violence in black communities might shrink disparities more effectively than anything else.
This means reframing how the medical community perceives violence. Homicide can no longer be understood only as a criminal-justice problem; it needs to be seen as a first-order health issue, a contributor to early mortality. Doctors need to think of violence as a disease, an epidemic even, that infects communities and destroys lives.
