Why He's The Liberal Scumbag of the Week: for spinning the 'perfect' Trump-era narrative (complete with MAGA hats, homophobia and of course, a couple of racist white guys chilling outside in the middle of a polar vortex on a Chicago evening) of racial animus and hatred towards progressive America and having it all come crashing down as a hoax. For a rapid liberal, gay, black, actor, singer and Trump-hater it was the perfect opportunity to link with the mainstream media and smear every Trump voter as a racist...until we all found out that Jussie lied.
Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation tell CNN that Chicago Police believe actor Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate an assault on him that he reported late last month.
Smollett denies playing a role in his attack, according to a statement from his attorneys.
The men, who are brothers, were arrested Wednesday but released without charges Friday after Chicago police cited the discovery of "new evidence."
The sources told CNN the two men are now cooperating fully with law enforcement.
Smollett told authorities he was attacked early January 29 by two men who were "yelling out racial and homophobic slurs." He said one attacker put a rope around his neck and poured an unknown chemical substance on him.
The sources told CNN there are records that show the two brothers purchased the rope found around Smollett's neck at a hardware store in Chicago.

Well, it seems like actress Ellen Page, who is gay and has been vocal about supporting the LGBTQ community, wasn't thrilled with Chris' interview. After seeing a tweet about Chris' church talk, she replied, "Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously anti lgbtq so maybe address that too?"Not that what Pratt does in his personal life is anyone's business, but if he wants to speak on his religious views publicly, so be it, it's a free country. But Page, an uber-leftist and a rising star in the Gay Mafia community (she recently spoke out against Vice-President Mike Pence for being too Christian), wasn't having any of it, 'Church-shaming' Pratt while continuing to use her Hollyweird platform to bash those who disagree with her. Indeed, if it were up to anti-religious bigots like Page, Pratt and all other Christians around the country would have to go back in the same closet Page says she was in before she 'came out' a few years back.
