Why They're The Person of the Week: for coming to the aid of President Trump in his fight against illegal immigration and activist, liberal judges by allowing a government rule to go into effect nationwide that will dramatically cut back on the ability of Central Americans to apply asylum in the United States.
The administration said the new restriction is needed to respond to "an unprecedented surge" of people who enter the country illegally and seek asylum if they're caught. But officials said only a small fraction of them are eventually found to be qualified. "The rule thus screens out asylum seekers who declined to request protection at their first opportunity," said Solicitor General Noel Francisco. He said it allows immigration officials to concentrate on the asylum seekers who most need protection.

Why They're The Liberal Scumbag of the Week: for being totally wrong about the migrant caravan. In their zest to continue painting President Trump as a horrible person who in this case was using 'innocent' people far, far away just looking to leave their country for a better life for themselves to help him with 2018 midterms, CNN got it all wrong. From the migrants’ intentions once they arrive at the U.S. border to their demographic makeup to the process of seeking asylum, CNN continued to tell viewers that this invasion was not an issue for American's to be concerned about. As the people of Tijuana found out themselves not too long ago, this was all wrong and don't expect the rapid Trump-haters at CNN to apologize for any of it.
