Actor Denzel Washington recently spoke to the college graduates of Dillard University, and during his commencement speech, he urged the 218 students in attendance to "put God first in everything you do."

Relevant Magazine obtained the speech made by the Flight and American Gangster actor, in which he stressed the importance of God and prayer.

"Everything that I have is by the grace of God, understand that. It's a gift. I didn't always stick with Him, but He stuck with me," he said.

At the same time, Washington told the students not to "be afraid to fail big" and to always remember that working is not about "how much money you make, you can't take it with you."

Whatever people might be going through in their lives, what is important is that they give the glory to God, he contended. There are so many things in life people can be grateful for, according to the actor, and they should take the time out to thank God for bountiful blessings.

"While you're on your knees, say thank you. Thank you for grace, thank you for mercy, thank you for understanding, thank you for wisdom, thank you for parents, thank you for love, thank you for kindness, thank you for humility, thank you for peace, thank you for prosperity," he said.

Washington even said that people should thank God in advance for what is already theirs. "True desire in the heart for anything good is God's proof to you sent beforehand that it's already yours," he explained.

Married for 30-plus years to the same woman, but his tremendous moral fortitude gets passed over by the Godless, liberal media which rather focus your attention on the likes of the talentless and trashy Kardashian clique..

UVA Four Months Later: 'Rolling Stone Didn't Do Its Job'

That's the feeling at the University of Virginia, four months after Rolling Stone magazine published and then all but retracted a story detailing an alleged gang rape at the campus. 

Now the magazine is preparing to publish an independent review by Columbia University of what went wrong in the making of the story. For UVA, that means yet another round of news coverage. 

Journalism students at UVA have seen up close how a news organization can hurt a community. Professors have thought about incorporating the lessons into classes. 

Perhaps most importantly, student activists are working overtime to correct persistent misperceptions about college sexual assault and support victims. 

"Rolling Stone didn't do its job," said UVA student body president Abraham Axler. "And in some ways our community was responsible for the cleanup of that mistake, and that's what people are angry about." 

The 9,000-word story, titled "A Rape on Campus," focused on the alleged gang rape of a freshman named "Jackie" in 2012. It also asserted that the university failed to meaningfully respond to the crime and connected this to systemic problems across the country. 

When the article came out in late November, "everyone was affected deeply," said Siva Vaidhyanathan, a UVA media studies professor. "The vividness of the story was gut-wrenching." 

But Vaidhyanathan had doubts right away because, he said, the story "demonized" administrators who were sincerely trying to improve UVA's handling of rape cases. 

The writer, Sabrina Rudin Erdely, soon came under scrutiny. 

"It was as if she came into the story with the plot already lined up, and she was just looking for that killer anecdote to fill in the gaps," Vaidhyanathan said. 

By early December, the gang rape story had unraveled. Amid mounting doubts about some of the details in Jackie's story -- seven attackers over a period of hours -- and widespread criticism of Rolling Stone's decision not to contact the alleged rapists, the magazine apologized and said it would investigate further.

The magazine asked Columbia's graduate school of journalism to lead a review. 

In March, the local police said they could find no evidence the rape had occurred, but also said it remains possible something very traumatic happened. Jackie has not spoken publicly.

Rolling Stone Magazine Still Running Totally Debunked Rape Story Online

Mediaite columnist Joe Concha scolded Rolling Stone magazine on Media Buzz on Sunday morning because its botched campus rape story from last year is still online. It’s also the very first Google search result for “rape on campus,” he noted.

A Charlottesville police report released last week showed no evidence to back up the original story — notably, that there was never a fraternity party the night of the alleged gang rape. Columbia is set to soon release a review of the story.

Upon a Google search for “campus rape,” Concha said, the first search result is Rolling Stone‘s story.

“If I got it wrong, I’d get that down in a hurry,” Concha said, adding there is a disclaimer from Rolling Stone‘s managing editor, but nothing about the Charlottesville police report.

Concha and Susan Ferrechio of The Washington Examiner both commended The Washington Post for its more thorough reporting on the story. Concha also said Rolling Stone will be expecting multiple lawsuits over the story. In a December column, he criticized Jann Wenner, the magazine’s publisher, for his “self-serving and reckless” statement on the disputed story.

Anyone who reads Rolling Stone magazine's political articles should know full damn well that the magazine has a extreme far-Left agenda. And as long as it fits his Godless agenda Massah Jann Wenner and his peon writers/slaves could care less about reporting the truth, being objective or abiding by any code of journalistic ethics.

Far-Left, Uber-Liberal Magazine Rolling Stone Lied About UVA Rapes On Campus

The Charlottesville, Virginia PD held a press conference this afternoon essentially refuting every aspect of the Rolling Stone report on allegations of a gang rape by a student referred to as Jackie.

Rolling Stone, of course, now infamously retracted its story after some serious holes were discovered in the story. They issued several apologies, while the university was particularly angry with the media for how it covered the alleged assault.

Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo said in their investigation they found many inconsistencies in several details about the case. He said Jackie was not cooperative for the police, and after the Rolling Stone report came out, she did not provide them with a statement.

He said they concluded there was no evidence a gang rape took place and no evidence there was a frat party the night Jackie had claimed.

However, Longo made it clear that the case is merely suspended, not closed, and encouraged anyone with concrete information about this case (or in any case when there’s a rape involved) to approach the police right away.

Run by a formerly heterosexual-turned gay, rich and powerful liberal in Jann Wenner, Rolling Stone is nothing but a demonic, conservative-hating rag with a gay agenda that fronts as a music publication. A hex on anyone who takes their politics/diatribes seriously, much less for truth.
