Ted Cruz Names Carly Fiorina as His Running Mate Choice
This is just delusional. What's President Cruz gonna do next, name his cabinet members? Obviously, Ted is desperately trying to steal some of Trump's thunder after he lost all 5 states in the Acela Primary on Tuesday, but naming a running mate, really?!? And one that no one stand, much less take seriously, in Carly Fiorina? Not to suggest that Cruz should drop out altogether, but better he pull a Bernie Sanders and announce that he's sticking it out till the end of the primaries than pull an ass-backwards stunt like this.

It’s Now Sexist to Ask Hillary Clinton Not to Interrupt During a Debate

I didn’t watch CNN’s Democratic debate Sunday: if I wanted to watch old white people yell at each other for two hours, I have The Expendables on DVD. But as best as I could tell from social media and angry thoughtpieces afterwards, Bernie Sanders said something deplorably and horribly sexist to his opponent Hillary Clinton.
“The moment looked bad for Sanders. He came off as a man shouting down a woman,” Vox weighed in. New York Magazine declared it “arguably sexist.” So what was it Sanders said that was so problematic?
Oh, it’s slightly worse in context of course; Sanders was pretty clearly irritated and not being polite. But that was only after Clinton interrupted him first.
I happen to agree with New York Magazine that the moment was “arguably” sexist, but only because there is no short supply of Internet warriors who will argue that any criticism of any prominent woman under any circumstance is sexist. Already, Hillary supporters have informed the media that words like “difficult” and “inaccessible,” and “polarizing, calculating, disingenuous, insincere, ambitious, inevitable, entitled, [and] over confident” are all now sexist when applied to Clinton. That these words are applied to male candidates every day is apparently besides the point.
Anyone who has watched any debate in the past twenty-odd years ought to know that interruptions are frequent, and that the interrupted candidate often speaks up for himself. Male candidates regularly talk over each other, jockey for speaking time, and get cross when they don’t get their way. To suddenly see it as “patronizing” and beyond the pale when applied to a woman is nothing more than a convenient double standard.
I’m sure there are Clinton supporters who would agree that Sanders has a right to call out another candidate when they interrupt, but just didn’t appreciate his tone or phrasing. There’s something to that; obviously you can voice a legitimate criticism in a way that’s still sexist (“Shut your mouth, you shrew,” e.g.).
But what exactly did they want him to say instead? If I were to recommend a way for his to reclaim his time, I would say start with something polite– “excuse me,” perhaps– followed by something that indicated that it was his turn to talk– maybe “I’m talking.”
Did he say it angrily? Of course he did, because he was interrupted literally seconds into his answer. I’d have to believe Clinton would have snapped at that, too. At the end of the day, Sanders had to interrupt Clinton, and there was nothing he was going to say or do that would contain the wrath of those see anything less than complete adulation of Clinton as inherently evil.
The real irony here is that it’s Clinton’s defenders who are actually reinforcing sexist stereotypes. By demanding special rules and that the media and fellow presidential candidates alike treat Hillary Clinton with kid’s gloves, they only encourage the perception that are women frail and unable to hang with the big boys. Clinton is a former Secretary of State and trial attorney who promises to stand up to Vladimir Putin and powerful Washington interests. But now we’re being told that she’s too much of a dainty flower to handle a gibe from a scrawny senior citizen.RELATED: Grover Norquist: Clinton already lost the election

Pointing Out That Hillary Clinton’s Running on Her Gender Isn’t Sexist, It’s Just True

When people tell us, “hold on, wait a while”—and that’s what the other Democrat is telling you—“Hold on, Black Lives Matter, just wait a while. Hold on, young people in this country, just wait a while.” And then she get good, she have your own momma come to you, your momma sit down and say, “Well you’re a woman.” But I talked to [liberal activist] Jane Elliott a few weeks ago, and Jane said, “Michael, a uterus doesn’t qualify you to be president of the United States. You have to have policies that’s reflective of social justice.”That uterus comment drew the ire of feminists and Clinton supporters, who bashed it as crude and sexist. “Can’t we just agree that reducing a female candidate to a reproductive body part is disrespectful?” Joan Walsh said in a typical tweet. The Clinton campaign called the comments “disappointing,” saying “Obviously if the suggestion there is that Hillary Clinton is asking anyone to vote for her based on her gender, that’s completely off base.”
There’s a case to be made that Killer Mike’s comments were inappropriate for their crudity. But that a) wasn’t a concern that was raised when supporter Lena Dunham asked Clinton if she had seen a man’s penis, and b) is kind of a given when you’re talking about a rapper whose lyrics include references to “freak sluts” and “monkey niggas.” I never heard liberal feminists make a fuss about Mr. Mike’s language before he attacked Clinton, to whip out the smelling salts now seems more than a little contrived.
For the sake of argument, let’s agree that the man who goes around with the word “Killer” in front of his name used language that is generally beyond the pale in presidential discourse. Critics also claim that the substance of his argument was sexist. So getting down to the real debate: was Mr. Mike right to imply Clinton is running on her gender, and if so, was it wrong of him to point it out?The answers to those questions are yes, and hell no.
The number of times that Clinton had made appeals to voters based solely on her gender make it basically impossible to list them all, but I’ll give just a few examples as an illustration:
- Clinton has on at least three separate occasions responded to criticism that she is an establishment candidate by saying that she would be the first woman president. This has been her sole response to the establishment question. The frequency with which she has employed this line is a pretty strong indication that this was a bottled line created by the campaign.
- The Clinton campaign literally cut a commercial of young girls saying how much they want a woman for president, in what is arguably the most manipulative campaign ad since Johnson said that Goldwater would make the Soviets bomb that little girl.
- Two female Clinton surrogates have told women that they are betraying their entire gender if they don’t vote for Sanders. When asked to repudiate these comments, the Clinton campaign refused outright. Clinton herself laughed the comments off when asked about them.

Actress Lena Dunham accused the media of being “rabidly sexist” against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in a Variety interview Sunday.Dunham's not stupid enough to just come out and say it, but this racist, pedophile and sexual assault liar not only thinks Hillary is owed the Presidency, but dammit because she's a white woman, not only should we all bow down, but no one has any right to ever criticize her.
“The way that Hillary Clinton’s been talked about in the media is so gendered and rabidly sexist in every single portrayal,” the comedienne complained.
Dunham said she literally wanted “to make a list that we hand to media outlets that says, ‘these are the words you can’t use when describing a female candidate.’”
Among the banned words: shrill, inaccessible, difficult, frumpy, and plastic. “If we were allowed to talk about male candidates like that, I’d have a fucking field day,” she said.The shrill comments are likely to be difficult for the frumpy star of HBO’s Girls, considering that The New York Times recently reported that Dunham herself was loudly criticizing Clinton at a private industry event.
