Donald Trump Responds to Lindsey Graham: ‘I Single-Handedly Destroyed His Hapless Run for President’
Mediaite.com:
After Sen. Lindsey Graham announced that he would not support the GOP presumptive nominee, Trump lashed back in the manner that has become familiar, blasting the South Carolina senator as being week, unreliable, an “embarrassment.”
If I got beaten as badly as I beat him, and all the other candidates he endorsed, I would not be able to give my support either,” Trump writes, and wonders “why the media never questions how I single-handedly destroyed his hapless run for President.”
Graham went on a Twitter tear Friday, explaining why he did “not believe he is a reliable GOP conservative nor has he displayed the judgment and temperament to serve as Commander in Chief.”RELATED: Why I Won't Endorse Trump
Barack Obama Tries To Bully North Carolina Into Allowing Men To Use Women's Bathrooms
TheDailyBeast.com:
North Carolina will not meet the Obama administration's deadline to "remedy" its controversial HB2 law by Monday, the Raleigh News & Observer reported Thursday.
The U.S. Department of Justice informed the state on Wednesday that the anti-LGBT law is in violation of the Civil Rights Act and it must either repeal or cease enforcing the bill by next week or face penalties.
House Speaker Tim Moore, a Republican, told reporters, “That deadline will come and go. We don’t ever want to lose any money, but we’re not going to get bullied by the Obama administration to take action prior to Monday’s date. That’s not how this works.”
The top lawmaker indicated the state intends to address the law, but that the DOJ's five-day deadline was not enough time.RELATED: Pro-family group slams Obama for fighting transgender bathroom laws, not Islamic State

Watch: All The Pundits, Politicians, and Consultants Who Said Donald Trump Wasn’t Going To Be The Republican Nominee
Townhall.com:
Ok—I’ll admit to it: I was wrong. I was wrong that Trump wouldn’t be the Republican nominee. With Cruz and Kasich knocked out of the race, Trump has a clear road to nab 1,237 delegates before the Republican Party heads into their nominating convention in July. So, I’m here to eat my words, but so do a lot of other people. Watch Mitt Romney, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bill Kristol, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Karl Rove, and others tout that Trump will never be the Republican nominee. It’s time to acknowledge our mistakes, folks. Moreover, the anti-Trump wing of the GOP never took the billionaire seriously. That turned out to be a fatal error.
We shouldn’t dwell too much on what could have been, as the GOP primary race is over. But if there is some truth to the notion that Trump could have been rendered irrelevant if attacked sooner by his Republican opponents, then the anti-Trump wing does bear some responsibility for failing to pull the trigger. And when they did, it was obscenely too late. So, here’s to licking our wounds.RELATED: Here Are 7 Reasons Why Donald Trump Could Really Win In November

Ted Cruz Suspends His Campaign for President
NYTimes.com:
On Tuesday, Mr. Cruz ended his campaign, his loss in Indiana extinguishing any chance of denying Mr. Trump the nomination.
“Together we left it all on the field in Indiana,” he told supporters here as cries of “Nooo!” rained from the crowd. “We gave it everything we’ve got. But the voters chose another path.”
Yet to dismiss Mr. Cruz as an also-ran would diminish his unlikely feat in outlasting nearly every rival: His calls for conservative purity have been, for better or worse, the most consistent message in the field, his rage against the “Washington cartel” a signal of the nation’s ever-dimming view of its leaders.
In a year when many voters flocked to the candidate they hoped could startle Washington into submission, Mr. Cruz galvanized millions of supporters drawn to his more ideological conservatism, quoting founding documents and free-market texts. He was the most right-leaning candidate to even sniff the nomination in at least a half-century.RELATED: Donald Trump All but Clinches Nomination With Indiana Win; Cruz Quits
