Megyn Kelly Grills Debbie Wasserman Schultz: 'Why'd You Bring Up Nikki Haley's Gender?'

Mediaite.com:
Late last night after the State of the Union, Fox’s Megyn Kelly confronted DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her swipes at Nikki Haley (something the DNC chair and certain conservative pundits now have in common).

Haley was chosen to deliver the Republican response to the State of the Union last night, and hours before the main event got started, Wasserman Schultz said on a conference call, “It’s pretty clear that Nikki Haley is being chosen because the Republican Party has a diversity problem.”

Well, late last night Kelly confronted Wasserman Schultz over that and asked, “As a woman, don’t you think it’s diminishing to say they put her up there for diversity purposes?”

Wasserman Schultz defended herself by citing how the GOP itself admitted a few years ago they had to do more to broaden the tent. She even said that Haley isn’t very popular in her state of South Carolina, so it’s hard to imagine why else she would have been invited.

Kelly suggested maybe that was because she’s very savvy and “presents well,” asking Wasserman Schultz how she would feel if people were to say Hillary Clinton only became the Democratic nominee because of her gender. She said, “You know you’re on shaky ground.”
Yeah, right. The GOP has a 'diversity problm' and meanwhile the 3 candidates for Democrat nominee for President are all old white people.
